About our Commissioner

Jamila Mohammed Dahiru have a demonstrated history of working in the education industry. Before her appointment as the Honorable Commissioner Bauchi state Ministry of Education, She was a lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, a Policy and Communication Consultant with various Development Partners and International Organizations like USAID, FCDO, UNDP, MIT, Open Contracting Society and Reboot among others. She is skilled in research,policy development and analysis, and general development studies.She hold Bachelor, Masters and Ph.D (In- view) in Mass Communication from Bayero University Kano and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria respectively, Postgraduate Diploma in Education from National Teachers Institute Kaduna, Certificate in Leadership Strategy and Development from African Centre for Leadership Strategy and Development and several certificates in Management, Leadership, Research and Policy Development from different institutions like Institute for Development Research and Training Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, French Institute for Research in Africa, Centre for Human Rights Faculty of Law University of Pretoria/UNESCO, Department of African Studies John Hopkins University and Centre for Information Technology Advancement among others. Her areas of interest include governance, education, health and development communication. Jamila co-authored the new ‘Kaduna OGP Co- creation story’ which was presented to OGP Global Summit at Ghana by the Kaduna State Government. She is also an ardent supporter for social entrepreneurship-creating awareness on public health and hygiene among the neglect adolescent Almajiris in Northern part of Nigeria through her NGO - WeCare Foundation.
